Critical parking permit application

Residents and business owners who live in a critical parking area can apply for permits online, in person or by mail.

Before you begin

You'll need documents to show proof of residency

  • A valid government-issued ID is required.

If the address on this ID matches the one on the critical parking application, it's the only form of proof you need.

If the address on your ID doesn't match, you need two forms of proof.

Other options include:

  • A signed lease
  • Utility bill
  • Credit card bill
  • Insurance statement

These work as long as the resident's name and address matches the name and address on the critical parking area application.

When you have the required documents, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have:
    • Your vehicle information (make, model and year)
    • Your license plate number
  2. Create an account on the Critical Parking Permitting site.
  3. Enter your address to verify it's an eligible address. You'll be able to continue only if your address is in a critical parking area.
  4. Select the permits you want and enter your vehicle information.
  5. Upload the required documents.
  6. Pay and wait to hear of application approval.
