The Phillips neighborhood is a region rich in resources important to the entire city. The Green Institute, an environmental/economic development organization, serves inner city Minneapolis and its residents through its award winning programs such as the Re-Use Center, Phillips Eco-Enterprise Center, Deconstruction Services, GreenSpace Partners and the Green Resource Center.
Adjacent to the Green Institute is the Minneapolis Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
