Corcoran, represented by the Corcoran Neighborhood Organization, is a diverse and active community and is home to Council Member Gary Schiff.
Corcoran Park is host to informal neighborhood gatherings, the Corcoran Festival and an annual Cinco de Mayo celebration. The Midtown Farmer's Market brings farmers and shoppers together in a celebration of local foods and community. The neighborhood is also served by the new $15 million Midtown YWCA facility and is home to South High School the city’s highest ranked public high school.
