Government Cable Channels Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Why does City government have cable channels?

A: As part of the franchise agreements between City government and cable operators, the City uses two cable channels in order to provide residents timely and accurate information about City issues and services. In addition to scheduled and special event shows, the City Bulletin Board provides important civic information 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Q: How do I watch a City Council meeting?

A: All regularly scheduled City Council and Committee meetings are live on Comcast channel 14 and HD channel 799 and CenturyLink channel 8001 and HD channel 8501. City Council meetings are also streamed live and archived on the internet.

Q: How do I get a copy of a show?

A: If the show is regularly scheduled, simply recording it is the easiest method. If it is a show that was recently aired but not currently scheduled, click on the Duplication request form (left) to request a copy.
