Paper (corrugated) yard signs may be placed in your one-sort recycling cart. The metal frame must be removed before placing the paper in the one-sort cart. The metal may be brought to one of Hennepin County's HHW & Recycling Drop-Off Facilitiesfor recycling.
Corrugated plastic yard signs can be reused for different purposes. Check with your local school or neighborhood organization to see if they're interested in signs for reuse. Plastic yard signs are recyclable, but not in your one-sort cart. Contact Solid Waste & Recycling at 612-673-2917 for more information.
Plastic film yard signs can be recycled, but not in your one-sort cart. The film may be brought to a participating grocery store for recycling, and the metal frame may be brought to Hennepin County's HHW & Recycling Drop-Off Facilities for recycling.
Do NOT place inside the organics reccling cart. Customers of Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling services, may place yard waste next to the garbage cart. Yard waste is collected weekly on your garbage day mid-April through mid-November, weather permitting. Yard waste is collected by a separate truck from garbage and recycling.

State law prohibits disposing of yard waste with the garbage. South Transfer Station does not accept yard waste.
