Clippings, Leaves, and Yard Trimmings | Customers of Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling services, may place yard waste next to the garbage cart. Yard waste is collected every garbage day. Yard waste is collected mid-April through mid-November, weather permitting. Yard waste is collected by a special truck, not your regular garbage truck. If you are willing to take this item to a commercial location, and pay a fee, call our customer service staff at (612) 673-2917 for locations. State law prohibits disposing of yard waste with the garbage. South Transfer Station does not accept yard waste. |  | |
