Household Hazardous Waste

Please do NOT place household Hazardous Waste in your garbage or recycling.

Minneapolis Solid Waste & Recycling works with Hennepin County Environmental Services to provide mobile drop-off sites for residents to bring in unwanted household hazardous waste/materials.

Visit the Solid Waste & Recycling What To Do List for information on what is considered Hazardous Waste, and not picked up by your garbage crew.

Visit the City of Minneapolis Environmental website for information about mercury, fluorescent lamps, lead and more.

Businesses must manage their hazardous and problem wastes separately and should call Hennepin County for more information.
