Project Description

The grant is to place solar PV and thermal installations and at least one site with battery storage at publicly owned buildings along the Energy Innovation Corridor in Minneapolis. Solar thermal systems will be installed on two fire stations, with solar PV being placed on one fire station, two maintenance facilities, one parking ramp, and possibly one dormitory at the University of Minnesota. The total amount of PV installed will be from 200-270kW. The grant was awarded to the City of Minneapolis on August 9, 2010
