The RENEW employment and training program builds upon the vast economic development opportunities present in the emerging green industry sectors of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Thorough and recent market research indicates that the two cities are national leaders in developing green enterprise in manufacturing, renewable energy, building systems management and construction/deconstruction - and well positioned for further growth in these sectors. Through its participant-focused collaborative program model, RENEW is truly a regional strategy to provide pathways out of poverty for 585 disadvantaged job seekers. Participants will exit the program with degrees, diplomas and certifications that have been demonstrated to meet the workforce needs of RENEW employer partners and the green business community at large.
