Dollars Awarded$150,000 Project StatusFully completed Project DescriptionThe City of Minneapolis Employment and Training Program, in collaboration with the Minneapolis WorkForce Centers and Minneapolis Adult Basic Education is using FastTRAC to expand our use of two models: Bridge Programming and Expanding Credentials. Bridge Programming aligns coursework with specific education or training that connects with a longer term occupational goal. Expanding credentials refers to the academic and employment readiness skills to be successful on the job or succeed in existing occupational training programs. Both of these align existing work being done in partnership between the City of Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Workforce Centers (WFC), the Minneapolis Adult Basic Education(ABE) system, Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) and community-based employment and training providers.
