Project Details

The project will designate portions of 29th Ave S and 24th St E a bicycle boulevard, in accordance with the City's Bicycle Master Plan. A bicycle boulevard operates similar to a typical residential street where vehicles are required to share the street with bicyclists, rather than a designated bike lane. The project includes bumpouts at several collector streets along the bicycle boulevard route, to help bicyclists navigate these crossings, and to improve sight lines. The intersections receiving bumpouts are;29th Ave S at 25th St E and 26th St E; 24th St E at 31st Ave S and Seabury Ave S. The project also includes two neighborhood traffic circles along 24th St E at 23rd Ave S and 25th Ave S. These will help to reduce vehicle speeds along the corridor and will provide greening to the street.
