Web Browser Compatibility
The On Line Police Report system is tested and supported for users of Netscape and Internet Explorer versions 5.x and higher.
The system may work for other browser versions and types, but will not for others. If you are using an older browser, and having trouble submitting an on line police report, you have the following options:
- Upgrade your current browser to a supported version.
- Submit your report from another computer that uses a supported browser version.
- To learn about other ways to make a police report, go to Crime-Reporting (non-emergencies section). There you will find information on how to make a report by phone with the Minneapolis 311 Call Center. The 311 Call Center is able to take a broader range of reports and of a more complex nature than those available on the public website. You can also use the Minneapolis Police Precinct Finder to determine by address, which police precinct the crime occurred in, should you prefer to file your report in person.
