Internal Affairs Unit
The Internal Affairs Unit records and investigates complaints concerning the conduct and actions of Minneapolis Police Department employees. The unit also serves as liaison with the Civilian Review Authority. The Internal Affairs Unit is also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of internal affairs investigations and records.
Court Liaison Function
The Court Liaison function coordinates the scheduling of officers for court and the issuance of court related overtime.
Public Information/Internal Communications
The Public Information Officer is responsible for interacting with the news media, developing public relations information, and informing members of the police department on items of interest or concern.
