Audiotapes – Most frequently of suspect taped interviews. Not public info if the case is still active. Call 311 (612-673-3000) for transcripts or audio recordings of 911 calls.

Employee Payroll Record -  Expect a minimum of 10 business days to process depending on the amount of data requested.

Incident Detail Reports- 9-1-1 dispatch log of events.

Internal Affairs Officer Summary – List of case(s) filed against an officer and the case status.  Expect up to 10 business days to process.

Digital Video Recording DVD - Recordings from squad car cameras.  Expect up to 10 business days to process.  NOTE-Cameras are only required to be activated during vehicle related stops.  Currently, videotapes are available for up to approximately 90 days after the incident date.

Personnel Record Public Data - Listing of an employee’s assignment history, training history and commendations.  Limited disciplinary information may also be available.  Expect up to 10 business days to process.

Statistical Data - The MPD maintains data in many forms.  Requests to prepare data for specific needs may require extensive time and/or expense. Click here for general Crime Maps and Statistics.

Street Camera Video - Video from MPD controlled cameras in certain areas of the City. Camera coverage is limited. Requests for this data must be made within 14 days of the incident, as this is the storage limit for the computer server.  Expect up to 10 business days to process.  There is no guarantee that the incident you’re inquiring about has been captured on a City owned street camera.

Taser® Camera Video - Approximately one-third of MPD Tasers® have cameras.  Though the footage is public, it is likely to be a part of an active criminal case and cannot be released until the case is inactive.  If available, expect at least 10 business days to process.

 

Photo Prints - Crime scene/ evidentiary photographs- Usually not public until case is considered inactive. Expect 5 to 10 business days to process.
