The Field Operations Section conducts crime scene processing and examination 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. This includes crime scene documentation, processing of physical evidence and the collection of evidence for preservation and possible court presentation. Duties of Forensic Scientists within the section include forensic photography and video, crime scene sketching, latent impression processing and examination, bloodstain pattern analysis, footwear/tire track impression analysis and Conducted Energy Device (CED) examination. The goal of these duties is to aid in the investigative process and testify to the findings in court.
