Committees
The study is being led by the City of Minneapolis in close coordination with the Metropolitan Council, Metro Transit and other stakeholder agencies. The responsibility for approving the recommended Locally Preferred Alternative resulting from the study ultimately rests with the Minneapolis City Council, followed by the Metropolitan Council. Two committees participate in the decision-making process:
- The Technical/Community Advisory Committee (T/CAC) is responsible for advising the Project Management Team on study process, outreach and stakeholder perspectives; reviewing and commenting on major deliverables; and being a communications link with stakeholder constituencies and partner agencies. The T/CAC membership includes public agency staff and community and business stakeholders.
- The Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) is responsible for providing overall policy guidance and recommending a Locally Preferred Alternative to the Minneapolis City Council and Metropolitan Council. The PAC membership includes elected and appointed officials from public agencies and the Minneapolis Downtown Council.
