Minneapolis testing voting machines
What: Minneapolis Elections & Voters Services will demonstrate the accuracy of the City’s computer program, voting equipment and ballots to be used on Election Day, Nov. 7. These machines are randomly selected to represent all of the offices on all of the precinct ballots.
When: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31
Where: Voting Equipment Warehouse, 732A Harding Street NE
MORE: The City has tested all of the voting equipment twice to confirm that it tabulates correctly for all offices and all candidates. This is a duplication of that test to show that the tabulator accurately reports votes cast. Before any election, as required by state law the City tests its 132 voting machines and 132 AutoMARK machines (assistive voting devices).
The Minneapolis Elections & Voter Services Division is responsible for administering elections in the City of Minneapolis.
This test will also be streamed live on the Minneapolis Elections and Voter Services Facebook profile.
