Minneapolis elections staff handing out voting information to commuters
National Voter Registration Day Sept. 26
What: City elections staff and volunteers will give morning commuters information on how to register and how to vote. City staff will be available to talk about registering and voting in Minneapolis.
When: 7:30-9 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 26
Where: Government Plaza METRO station (northbound side)
MORE: The Internal Audit Department conducted an audit of the Minneapolis Staff and volunteers will give commuters registration and voting information during morning rush hour at all five METRO stations in downtown Minneapolis (Target Field, Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue, Nicollet Mall, Government Plaza and U.S. Bank Stadium). The City is taking advantage of National Voter Registration Day Sept. 26 to encourage people all week to pre-register to vote. Even registered voters need to re-register under their new address if they move, and pre-registering will save them time when they vote. Voters can pre-register from now through Oct. 17. Election Day is Nov. 7.
More information on voting in Minneapolis is available at vote.minneapolismn.gov.
