Council members briefed on audit of police body-worn cameras
What: Staff from the Office of Police Conduct Review (OPCR) and the Internal Audit Department brief members of the City Council’s Public Safety, Civil Rights and Emergency Management Committee on an audit being done on mobile and body-worn video recording equipment programs in the Minneapolis Police Department.

MORE: The OPCR and Internal Audit Department, along with the Police Conduct Oversight Commission, will conduct an audit of the Minneapolis Police Department’s mobile and body-worn video recording equipment programs. The objectives of the audit will be:
· To evaluate compliance with applicable Minnesota statutes.
· To review training and equipment use.
· Evaluate compliance with the Minneapolis Police Department’s policies and procedures.
