When:              11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28

Where:            Room 132
City Hall, 350 S. Fifth St.

MORE:             On Sept. 12, Minneapolis traffic control agent Jennifer Schlosser was directing traffic at the corner of Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South in downtown Minneapolis when she was struck by a motor vehicle making an illegal turn.  The driver has since pleaded guilty. Meanwhile, the agent is still recovering from the injuries she suffered. For the first time, she’s speaking publicly about the incident and reminding all drivers to watch out for the traffic control agents.

The crash was recorded by a security camera on a City parking ramp at that corner. Copies will also be on hand for reporters.

Following the news conference, reporters who request it can have an opportunity to join traffic control agents working at intersections for a first-hand experience of the job.
