Nominations are being sought for the 24th Annual Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Awards

March 5, 2014 (Minneapolis) – Preserve Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the City of Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission are seeking submissions for award nominations to recognize projects, individuals, and/or organizations that celebrate the heritage and historic character of Minneapolis.

Projects will be judged based on their careful attention to the quality of design, architecture, workmanship, and materials, as well as their positive impact on surrounding neighborhoods and community. The selection jury will be comprised of two Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Commissioners, two members of the American Institute of Architects Minneapolis Chapter, and two board members from Preserve Minneapolis.

Nominations are due by 4 p.m. CDT on Friday, April 4, 2014.  Nominations can be delivered to: AIA Minnesota, Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Awards, 275 Market Street, Suite 54, Minneapolis, MN, 55405.

The Minneapolis Heritage Preservation Awards will be presented at the 24th Annual Minneapolis Preservation Awards luncheon presentation held at International Market Square on Thursday, May 15, 2014, beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The Awards Ceremony is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
