Minneapolis and Hennepin County public safety officials to discuss industry training to help stop sex trafficking of juveniles

WHAT:            Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau, Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek, City County Attorney Susan Segal and Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman will be joined by Dan McElroy from the Minnesota Lodging Association, , community advocates and other public safety partners and jurisdictions to discuss the role the hospitality industry can take to help stop sex trafficking of juveniles.

Immediately after the press conference, the first training session involving staff from hotels and the hospitality industry in Minneapolis and Hennepin County.

MORE:            Minneapolis and Hennepin County law enforcement leaders have been working with the local business and advocacy communities and other partners to bring an end to sex trafficking of juveniles. This training is to engage the efforts of hotel and motel owners and their employees to understand the role they may play and to join in this effort.
