Minneapolis area is No. 1 for med-tech
The Minneapolis Saint Paul area has been ranked the top metropolitan area for developing and manufacturing medical devices and equipment, according to the July/August issue of Business Facilities magazine. New Haven-Millford, Conn., and Salt Lake City were ranked second and third, respectively.
Business Facilities also ranked Minneapolis as the eighth greenest city in the nation (Portland, Ore., was first) and eighth in quality of life (Austin, Tex., was first). In state rankings, Minnesota came in third for wind power generation (Texas was first) and sixth in quality of life (Utah was first).
