Skyway Senior Center holds art and silent auction fundraiser Oct. 13
Friends of the Medica® Skyway Senior Center will host an art and silent auction fundraiser featuring works of art from the renown Jean Stephen Galleries on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The center is located in the Retek Building, 950 Nicollet Mall, in the skyway down the hall from the Target store.
This event will feature internationally recognized works of art that will be on display and available for purchase the entire month of October at the MSSC. Jean Stephen Galleries will donate a portion of commission from any of these selected works that are sold during October to the MSSC. Jean Stephen Galleries has also generously donated two works where the entire purchase price will be donated to MSSC.
The Silent Auction features items donated by local businesses, non-profits and private donors including gift cards to local businesses, crafts, and theatre tickets.
Open since 2001, the Medica® Skyway Senior Center provides a beautiful 2,000 square foot gathering place for seniors and friends in the Minneapolis downtown skyway. The center offers many programs and resources for seniors including wellness and fitness programs, lifelong learning opportunites, consumer and personal services, and Internet-connected computers.
The City of Minneapolis operates the Medica Skyway Senior Center through the Department of Health and Family Support’s Senior Ombudsman office.
