Second phase of the Lakes of Isles Parkway reconstruction begins June 1

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 1 a portion of the Lake of Isles Parkway, from 28th Street West to East Calhoun Parkway will be closed to all traffic for road surface work. This portion of the parkway will reopen June 9. Detours will be posted.

The portion of the parkway from Kenwood Parkway to 28th Street West which was closed earlier for road work is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29. When this portion of the parkway opens, the Burnham Boulevard Bridge will revert back to being a one-way east bound roadway.

The June 1 closing is the second of four phases of construction that the City of Minneapolis plans along the Lake of Isles Parkway this year. Watch for more information later this spring.
