Minneapolis City offices closed on Memorial Day

Minneapolis City government offices will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.

There will be no City of Minneapolis garbage and recycling pick-up on May 25. Households’ garbage and recycling pick-ups scheduled for May 25 through May 29 will occur one day later (Tuesday through Saturday) than their normal schedule. In addition, Minneapolis 311 services and the Public Works Transfer Station will be closed.

The City's metered parking is not be enforced on the holiday but all other parking restrictions in the city (including University of Minnesota and Park Board meters along Minneapolis parkways) remain in effect and subject to enforcement.

The office closures do not affect 911, Minneapolis police and fire emergency services.
