Minneapolis City offices closed on Presidents Day, Feb. 16

Minneapolis City government offices are closed on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. The closures include Minneapolis 311. City offices and Minneapolis 311 will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

There will be no change to garbage and recycling pick-up schedules on Monday, Feb. 16 and the regular schedule will be maintained. However, the downtown Solid Waste Division customer service office and the South Transfer Station will be closed for the holiday.

City parking meters will not be enforced on Feb. 16, but other parking restrictions in the city (including parkway, parks and University of Minnesota meters) remain in effect and may be subject to enforcement.

The closures do not affect 911 or Minneapolis police and fire emergency services.
