Minneapolis City offices closed Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Jan. 19

All Minneapolis City government offices are closed Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday following the holiday.

There are no changes to City garbage and recycling pick-up schedules and there will be regular pick ups on Jan. 19. However, the Downtown Solid Waste customer service office (and information line) and the South Transfer Station will be closed. Minneapolis 311 will also be closed on Monday.

There will be no enforcement of City parking meters on Jan. 19, but other parking restrictions in the city (including parkway, parks and University of Minnesota meters) remain in effect and may be subject to enforcement.
