Minneapolis Police Band among Parade of Tribute & Honor performers

The Minneapolis Police Band will be performing in the Parade of Tribute & Honor along Nicollet Mall on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The parade begins at 11 a.m. and also features the 34th Infantry Division Army "Red Bull" Band, U.S. Army Reserve Band, a Joint Armed Forces Honor Guard, St. Paul Police Marching Band, the Emerald Society & Minnesota Police Pipes and Drums, 20 marching bands, fire trucks, emergency vehicles, Minnesota and New Ulm Civil War Artillery and Battery Regiments, and 40 Zurah & Osman Minnesota Shriner Parade Units.

The parade is part of the 2011 Festival of Tribute & Honor, a group of events that honor all of Minnesotas branches of the Armed Forces, veterans, firefighters, law enforcement and emergency services. The festival is sponsored by New Hope Community Services of America, Inc., www.nhcsa-mn.org.
