Grant writing training available

The Minneapolis Police Department is hosting a two day grant writing workshop offered by Grant Writing USA on Aug. 29 and 30. This training is applicable to grant seekers across all disciplines and is open to staff from all City offices.

The workshop, which is designed for beginning and experienced grant writers, will offer tips for locating grant opportunities, discuss how to customize grant applications to grant makers’ interests and outline the essential components of a grant proposal.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Special Operations Center (located in front of 4119 Dupont Ave. N.). The cost of the workshop is $425 and includes a workbook, the 300+MB resource CD, and lifetime, free access to an alumni forum. Tuition payment is not required at the time of enrollment. Online reservations are required. Additional workshop information
