42nd annual Pride Festival set for June 28 and 29

More than 300,000 people are expected to participate in the 42nd annual Twin Cities Pride Festival set for June 28 and 29. In addition to the festival in Loring Park and the parade along Hennepin Avenue, this free celebration of the GLBT community features music and theater events, an art show, a family picnic and a 5K run.

Pride Festival

10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, June 28
10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, June 29
Loring Park, 1382 Willow St.

The festival will feature approximately 400 exhibitors and 40 food and beverage booths. Festival admission is free. A beer garden wristband is $5 and a concert ticket is $10.

Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade

11 a.m., Sunday, June 29
Downtown

The parade travels down Hennepin Avenue, starting at Third Street and ending at Spruce Street near Loring Park. More than 120 units are expected to participate in the parade.
