Report your fitness activity for the month by May 31

Don’t forget to report your May fitness activity on mymedica.com by May 31 to earn points toward your 2014 employee wellness program.

New this year, fitness tracking allows you to earn 25 points toward a lower health insurance premium when you work out at least 30 minutes eight times per month for three months. When you earn 300 points toward your My Health Rewards by Medica program by Aug. 31, you’ll get a discount on your 2015 health insurance premiums. (In 2014, savings averaged $400 a year for a single person and $1,200 a year for a family.)

All you have to do to get the fitness activity points is self-report your workouts on your Medica scorecard on mymedica.com by the end of the month in which they occur. You are unable to report workouts from previous months. (Even if you’re working out at a fitness club that participates in Medica’s Fit Choices for a discount on your gym membership fee, you must self-report your workouts to also earn My Health Rewards credits toward a lower health care premium.)

To report your fitness activity:

1. Visit www.mymedica.com.

2. Enter your username and password.

3. Click on “Health & Wellness.”

4.  Click on “Scorecard,” then “View My Scorecard.”

5.  Under the “Fitness Tracking” health action, select “Click here to self-report.”

6.  Enter the dates you worked out at least 30 minutes.
