Metro Transit offers free rides on St. Patrick's Day

No fares. No blarney.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day responsibly Monday, March 17, with a free ride on Metro Transit buses and light rail from 6 p.m. through the last scheduled trip on all routes. Customers also ride free on routes operated by Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, SouthWest Transit and Anoka County Traveler.

Whether you’re out celebrating or just not interested in driving alongside those who are, riding Metro Transit is an easy, safe alternative to get home. The free rides are a community service program called Miller Lite Free Rides in partnership with Metro Transit, J.J. Taylor Distributing Company and Miller Lite.
