Conquer your fear of public speaking at Toastmasters

Minneapolis City Hall has two Toastmasters clubs that can help you become a more effective and confident public speaker.

Toastmasters is a learn-by-doing program, where participants practice meeting and speaking skills by giving a prepared or impromptu speech and serving as a timer, speech evaluator or grammarian. The goal is to provide a supportive and positive learning environment so that every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills.

If you are interested, there are two groups and meeting times to choose from:

The Russell H. Conwell Toastmasters group meets at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays in Room 319 of Minneapolis City Hall. For more information about this group, email Ge Lee at zeblis@gmail.com or call (651) 325-8073.

The Roller Toasters Toastmasters club meets at 7:30 a.m. the first three Fridays of the month and noon to 1 p.m. the fourth Friday in Room 333 of Minneapolis City Hall. For more information, email Toni Newborn at toni.newborn@minneapolismn.gov.
