Minneapolis joins the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon network

Minneapolis has joined the group of businesses and communities participating in the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon network. The program helps connect veterans, active duty military personnel and their immediate families with training programs, family and wellness services, financial planning resources and employment and career services.

Veterans, active service members and their families who are in Minneapolis can call 311, and an agent will get them to the right program specialists.

On Dec. 2, the Interstate 35W Bridge over the Mississippi River and the tops of the IDS Center and Target corporate headquarters were illuminated in yellow to call attention to this effort and the city’s involvement.

More information on Beyond the Yellow Ribbon is available at www.beyondtheyellowribbon.org.
