Workshop offers opportunity to learn how the City uses social media to enhance communication

The Communications Department is once again offering a workshop aimed at helping employees better understand how the City uses Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and FourSquare to communicate with residents, visitors and businesses. The upcoming workshop will outline how popular social media sites can be used to share information, manage emergencies, enhance community engagement and increase residents’ understanding of ordinance requirements.

The free workshop — “Using Social Media to Communicate City News” — is Thursday, Nov. 14 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in Room 101, City of Lakes building, 309 2nd Avenue South.
