Be sure to provide your input on employee recognition by March 29 deadline
If you haven’t yet completed the short survey about employee recognition, please take a few minutes to complete the survey by Friday, March 29. So far about 880 employees have taken the survey, resulting in a 25 percent response rate.
The survey, which was emailed to employees on March 13, seeks to help City leaders:
- Identify shortcomings in how the City recognizes employees’ accomplishments and contributions.
- Clarify what employees view as meaningful and appropriate recognition.
- Identify what types of accomplishments or contributions deserve special recognition.
- Measure interest in an employee appreciation or learning event.
The suggestions and views expressed in the recognition survey will be shared with department heads, supervisors and elected officials later this spring.
The survey, which takes about five minutes to complete, can be accessed by clicking on https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RECOGNIZEEES. The survey is anonymous, with the exception that you will be asked to identify your department.
The need for the survey stems from the results of the most recent Employee Engagement Survey which indicated that the City needs to do a better job of conveying appreciation for and recognition of employees’ workplace contributions.
