Participants sought for PAL-sponsored basketball tournament

The Police Activities League (PAL) is sponsoring its first annual Help with Hoops Basketball Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 16. City employees are welcome to organize a 5-on-5 team and show off their court skills during this full-court basketball tournament with certified referees. Teams will compete for a $500 first place prize and trophy donated by the Timberwolves.

The entrance fee is $240 per team and proceeds go to PAL, a youth crime prevention program that uses educational, athletic and recreational activities to build trust and understanding between police officers and youth.
