Training on new citywide mapping application offered in February
A new citywide mapping application — MinneAtlas — is now up and running. The new version of the GIS application offers the same functionality as the previous version but now performs faster in finding, processing and visualizing information.
MinneAtlas gives users the ability to query, analyze and display results using City data resources. MinneAtlas users can:
- Quickly perform geographic queries and analysis for decision-making and problem-solving.
- Link data sets together by geography to improve organizational integration and communication.
- View, analyze and interact with spatial information via an interactive map.
Staff interested in learning how to use the new application can choose from one of eight training sessions offered on Feb. 4, 11, 20 and 25. To enroll in any of these three-hour classes, log onto HRIS and search the HRIS learning catalog for MinneAtlas.
