Dec. 7 Holidazzle parade recognizes public safety personnel
The City of Minneapolis is one of the sponsors of the Dec. 7 Holidazzle parade, which recognizes public safety personnel. Most of the participants in Holidazzle’s Public Safety Night parade will be folks from Minneapolis Police, Minneapolis Fire, Hennepin County Sheriff and Hennepin County Emergency Medical Services.
The Holidazzle parade features illuminated floats, music, celebrity Grand Marshals, and Santa in his sleigh. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts about 30 minutes. The parade travels northbound on Nicollet Mall from 12th Street to 4th Street.
The Holidazzle parade began in 1992 and is an annual Downtown Minneapolis tradition. The 2012 Target Holidazzle runs Thursday through Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. through Dec. 23.
