Help seniors and homeless youths this holiday season
The Finance and Property Services Department is sponsoring a holiday donation drive to benefit seniors and homeless youths by gathering donations for YouthLink and the Minnesota Visiting Nurse Association. YouthLink is a safe and supportive refuge from life on the street for homeless youth ages 16-21. The Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency provides community health and related services for new mothers and babies, families and adults.
Suggested donations to help homeless youths:
- Cleaning/laundry supplies
- Cooking/kitchen items
- Personal hygiene items
- Household items
- Clothing
Suggested donations to help seniors:
- Hats, gloves, scarves
- Slippers with grip-tread soles, socks
- Robes
- Bath towels, blankets
- Puzzles, large-print books
Donation drop-off locations
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 6 and can be dropped off at any of these locations:
- City Hall - room 325M or room 330
- Crown Roller Mill - room 508
- Public Service Center - room 230
- Royalston Maintenance Facility
- Towle Building - room 550/552
