Nicollet Mall farmers market closing soon

The Nicollet Mall farmers market, which is located on Nicollet Mall between 5th and 12th streets, is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Thursday through the end of October. Markets in November are weather-dependent.

For vendors who sell locally grown produce, product availability depends on what’s in season. Autumn products typically include pumpkins, apples, squash, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, peppers, melons, herbs, potatoes, carrots, onions, beets and green beans. Locally produced cheese, maple syrup, cut flowers, eggs, meats and poultry are also available. Given Minnesota’s short growing season, a number of vendors also sell produce that’s grown elsewhere.
