Nicollet Mall farmers market reopens for season
The Nicollet Mall farmers market reopens for the season Thursday, April 26. The market, which is located on Nicollet Mall between 5th and 12th streets, is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Thursday until November.
The season’s grand opening of the Lyndale farmers market is Saturday, April 28. The market, located at 312 East Lyndale Avenue North, is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekends.
For vendors who sell locally grown produce, product availability depends on what’s in season. Early spring products typically include bedding plants, perennials, herbs, spinach, onions, radishes and spring greens. Locally produced cheese, maple syrup, cut flowers, eggs, meats and poultry are also available. Given Minnesota’s short growing season, a number of vendors also sell produce that’s grown elsewhere.
