Ethics refresher class required every three years
All City employees are required to participate in an Ethics and Respect in the Workplace refresher class once every three years. If you’d like to sign up for a class or check when you’re due for a refresher, visit HRIS and click on Learning and Development. Because there are a limited number of these classes being offered this year, it’s best not to wait until the last minute to enroll.
The three-hour workshop allows employees to fulfill all their required policy training in one workshop. The ethics code portion of the workshop outlines conflicts of interest and issues related to outside employment, gifts, use of City property, and the use of City position. The Respect in the Workplace Policy portion of the training uses a combination of classroom instruction and case study discussions to outline the procedures to prevent and report cases of discrimination or harassment.
Ethics and Respect in the Workplace workshop
Thursday, May 10
9 a.m. - noon
Room 101, City of Lakes building, 309 2nd Ave. S.
