Take advantage of free health screenings at upcoming health fairs
The Human Resources department and the City’s Wellness Committee are offering health fairs to make it convenient for City employees to receive free health screening tests. Staff from Mercy Hospital’s wellness program will be on hand to check blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, HDL ratio, blood sugar and Body Mass Index. Hospital staff will be on hand that same day to explain the tests and review your results.
In addition to the free health screenings, representatives from the City’s Benefits office, Medica (the City’s health plan provider) and other health and wellness vendors will be on hand to answer questions about their services. Nice Ride bike discount certificates will be available for purchase at the May 1 City Hall health fair. With the discount certificate, City employees can buy a $65 annual membership for $15.
