New bike racks installed at PSC and Animal Control
Bike commuters and visitors will appreciate the additional bike parking now available at the Public Service Center and Animal Care & Control.
New bike racks offering 14 additional bike parking spaces were installed last month at the Public Service Center, 250 South 4th St. Alongside the new bike racks, bicyclists will find a bike pump. The Public Service Center’s old racks have been retained and can be used for overflow bike parking. The Public Service Center, also has bike parking spaces along 3rd Avenue and 3rd Street.
Folks interested in paying a fee for special bike-related services can check into the availability of bike lockers and showers/personal lockers that are located in the basement of the Public Service Center.
New bike racks were also installed at the Animal Care & Control building on the corner of 17th Ave N. and N. 2nd Street.
Funding for these bike racks came from the Federal Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Program.
The new bike racks at the Public Service Center are located alongside the car parking area.
