Apple iPad services are now available
Apple iPad services are now available to City departments and iPad owners. Details about product and service options are posted at http://citytalk/it/products/mobile/index.htm.
Departments can purchase a Wi-Fi Apple iPad or Wi-Fi Apple iPad+3G for departmental use through the City. Departments can also purchase smart covers, power adapters, wireless keyboards and extended warranties for iPads.
Two access service levels — Basic and Premiere —are available to iPad users, regardless of whether the iPad is City-owned or employee-owned.
Both services allow iPad access to work email, calendar, tasks and contacts. The Premiere Service adds access to VPN, CityTalk and City network drives and folders.
Premiere Service users also have access to the Minneapolis App Store which offers Cisco AnyConnect, File Browser, iAnnotate and QuickOffice Pro HD.
