Civil Rights Department hosting ‘Doing Business with the City’ event
The City’s Civil Rights Department is hosting another free event Thursday, July 26 in South Minneapolis geared toward small, minority and women-owned businesses to share tips on doing business with the City of Minneapolis.
The event at Gandhi Mahal, 3009 27th Ave. S., will cover a range of topics, including the basics of doing business with the City, information about certifications and resources available to small, women and minority owned businesses and upcoming business opportunities with the City.
The City buys a wide range of goods and services and has policies to ensure that its purchases of construction and development services, commodities and supplies, and professional and technical services include women, minorities, and low-income workers and businesses.
The City’s Civil Rights Department will be joined by representatives from several other City departments and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board at the event.
