Public hearing to be held on City’s recommended Community Action Agency designee

 

A public hearing regarding the recommended designation of the Community Action Partnership of Suburban Hennepin as the Community Action Agency for the City of Minneapolis will be held on:

6–8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27
Pohlad Room (second floor)
Minneapolis Central Library
300 Nicollet Mall

At the hearing representatives of Community Action Partnership of Suburban Hennepin and the City of Minneapolis will discuss the designated agency’s qualifications, expertise and experience in providing community action services to low-income persons.  Anyone interested can speak at the hearing.

The Community Action program was established in 1964 by federal law. The program’s purpose is to assist low-income individuals and families to acquire useful skills and knowledge to become economically self-sufficient. Community Action Agencies are responsible to implement the program.

The hearing will be conducted by the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings.
