Several downtown streets will close for International Shriners Parade on Tuesday, July 8

Minneapolis will close several streets downtown on Tuesday, July 8 for the International Shriners Parade.

Beginning at 7 p.m., Hennepin Avenue will close from Dunwoody Boulevard and Lyndale Avenue to Washington Avenue. During this time, a number of cross streets will also be closed, although traffic will be able to cross Hennepin Avenue at 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, and Maple Street/16th Street. These streets will open as they are cleaned after the parade, and all streets are expected to be open again by 10:30 p.m.
