Minneapolis City offices closed on Feb. 17 for Presidents Day
Minneapolis City government offices, including Minneapolis 311 are closed Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday following the holiday.
There are no changes to City garbage and recycling pick-up schedules and there will be regular pickups on Feb. 17. However, the Downtown Solid Waste customer service office (and information line) and the South Transfer Station will be closed.
The City's parking meters will not be enforced Feb. 17, but all other parking restrictions in the city remain in effect and subject to enforcement, including Park Board meters along Minneapolis parkways, University of Minnesota parking meters and those of private organizations who operate their own meters. Always read the information posted on the meter to be certain.
The Minneapolis Impound Lot will also be closed on Monday, Feb. 17 (unless it happens to be Day 1 or Day 2 of a City-declared Snow Emergency).
Minneapolis police and fire emergency services and 911 are not affected.
